Products Description
Monel K500 is a precipitation-hardenable alloy that consists of copper and nickel. It is known for its excellent corrosion resistance properties. Additionally, it exhibits high strength and toughness, which is achieved by the addition of titanium and aluminum to the alloy composition. However, Monel K500 has a high susceptibility to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in certain environments. It also demonstrates good yielding and tensile strength.When it comes to supplying Monel K500 round bars/rods with the designation WNR 2.4360/2.4375, thorough quality testing is conducted before shipment to ensure product integrity. Some of the tests performed include radiography tests (such as X-ray or gamma-ray examination), hydrostatic tests (to assess the resistance to fluid pressure), chemical tests (to verify the alloy composition), and positive material identification (PMI) tests (to confirm the material's chemical composition). These tests are performed to ensure that the supplied material meets the required quality standards and specifications.
