Products Description
Hastelloy C22 is an austenitic alloy composed of tungsten, nickel, chromium, and molybdenum. It is known for its excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC), pitting, and crevice corrosion. The presence of chromium provides resistance to oxidizing media, while tungsten and molybdenum contribute to its resistance to reducing environments. Hastelloy C22 also exhibits resistance to oxidizing acid chloride, seawater, and various chemical solutions.
Hastelloy C276, on the other hand, is a chromium, nickel, and molybdenum based alloy that also contains tungsten. This alloy is specifically designed to provide corrosion resistance in high-temperature atmospheres. The addition of molybdenum and nickel enhances its resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting. Additionally, Hastelloy C276 resists the formation of grain boundary precipitates, which can cause brittleness and reduced corrosion resistance in certain environments.
Both Hastelloy C22 and Hastelloy C276 are widely used in applications where corrosion resistance is critical, particularly in aggressive chemical environments and high-temperature
