According to statistics from Ronsco, in July 2021, China's stainless steel exports totaled 410,100 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 76,900 tons, a decrease of 15.79%; a year-on-year increase of 159,900 tons, an increase of 58.26%. From January to July 2021, China's total stainless steel exports totaled 2.5443 million tons, an increase of 672,400 tons over the same period last year, an increase of 35.92%.
In July 2021, China's stainless steel imports totaled 220,600 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 24,200 tons, a decrease of 9.91%; a year-on-year increase of 30,700 tons, an increase of 16.18%. From January to July 2021, China's stainless steel imports totaled 1.5354 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 709,100 tons, an increase of 85.82%.
In July 2021, China's total stainless steel exports totaled 189,400 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 52,600 tons, a decrease of 21.74%; a year-on-year increase of 120,200 tons, an increase of 173.79%. From January to July 2021, China's stainless steel imports totaled 1.08.9 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 36,600 tons, or 3.5%.
According to customs data, China imported 171,400 tons of stainless steel from Indonesia in July 2021, a month-on-month decrease of 14,500 tons, a decrease of 7.8%; a year-on-year increase of 30,450 tons, an increase of 21.6%. Among them, the import of hot rolled products in July was 38,600 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 6,000 tons, a decrease of 13.45%; cold-rolled imports of 22,200 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 42,300 tons, a decrease of 95.05%; imports of semi-finished steel billets were 130,600 tons, a decrease of 3.38 month-on-month 10,000 tons, a decrease of 34.91%.
From January to July of 2021, China's total imports of stainless steel from Indonesia amounted to 1,187,800 tons, a year-on-year increase of 672,350 tons, an increase of 130.43%. Among them, from January to July imported 150,800 tons of hot-rolled products, an increase of 115,800 tons, an increase of 330.85%; cold-rolled imports of 382,100 tons, an increase of 260,140 tons, an increase of 213.3%; and imports of semi-finished steel billets were 654,900 tons, a year-on-year increase. An increase of 296,100 tons, an increase of 82.68%.
